,

The legislative session has officially adjourned, but many of the grotesque bills that passed the legislature still have one final step - they are headed to Governor Polis’ desk.

, we need your help urging Governor Polis to veto these bills!

** Urge Governor Polis to veto these bills
------------------------------------------------------------

HB25-1321 ([link removed]) (Legal Defense Fund): Allocates $4M for legal challenges against federal mandates and defense of state employees. Part of strategy to shield sanctuary policies and state employees from federal immigration enforcement or penalties.

HB25-1312 ([link removed]) (Transgender Rights): Expands anti-discrimination to include transgender individuals, protects chosen names/gender identity, and mandates gender-affirming dress codes in schools. Strips authority from parents and local school boards.

SB25-005 ([link removed]) (Labor Union Formation): Simplifies union formation by removing a second vote requirement in some cases; Polis intends to veto due to business concerns.

SB25-276 ([link removed]) (Immigrant Protections): Limits federal authorities' ability to detain/deport undocumented immigrants, reinforcing Colorado's sanctuary status; undermines federal enforcement.

HB25-1250 ([link removed]) (Gun Violence Prevention in Schools): Mandates schools to provide gun violence prevention materials to parents and post them online. Republicans question its effectiveness and potential overreach. Does nothing to actually prevent school violence, instead offering a symbolic gesture that distracts from real solutions like mental health support, school security, or law enforcement presence.

SB25-034 ([link removed]) (Voluntary Firearm Purchase Ban): Creates a voluntary "do not sell" list for firearms. Bad precedent; opens the door to more mandatory 2A overreach.

, we cannot let our voices be silent.

P.S. We can stop Democrats from doing this more in the future by electing more Republicans. Any donation you are able to give the State Party will go towards exactly that.
