Donavan McKinney is running for Congress because – unlike his opponent –
he embodies what it means to represent Michigan’s 13th congressional
district.

People from the district feel it. That’s why the Michigan Chronicle
published a powerful article making the case for Donavan:

knows what is at stake.

We need Donavan in Congress because he has a track record of bringing real
victories back to his community. As a state legislator, he represented the
poorest district in Michigan. Despite the challenges standing in his way,
Donavan secured millions of dollars for his community.

The Michigan Chronicle puts it best: From replacing lead pipes, to
investing in rec centers and local schools, to strengthening community
violence intervention programs, “His record is proof that leadership
grounded in community experience can move mountains.”

Rep. Shri Thanedar is an out-of-touch multimillionaire who’s tried to buy
his way into power every step of the way. He bankrolled his campaign with
his personal fortune before taking even more money from Big Pharma,
corporate defense contractors, and fossil fuel monopolies jacking up
energy prices on consumers.

Shri cannot be trusted to fight for working Michiganders.

This campaign is about making sure the needs of working families come
before the greed of the billionaire class. While Shri is an ultrarich
hobby politician, Donavan is a proven fighter for his community who we can
count on to stand up for the working class in Michigan and across the
country.
