I’m Kaya, the Senior Director of Programming here at VOT!
I’ve worked with many fellow Gen Zers eager to step up to help save democracy, but who aren’t sure where to start or where they can make the biggest impact.
I always tell them: there’s no one ‘correct’ way to fight for our democracy.
Saving democracy can mean reaching kids at registration drives on campus. Or it could mean joining our Resistance Bootcamp to learn how to organize young voters on- and offline.
And sometimes, it’s as basic as getting a bunch of young people together for some pizza and phone banking!
John, sometimes the simplest programs can make the biggest impact.
That’s why VOT is hard at work this ‘off-year’ building off our momentum and growing our network of young changemakers.
Right now, we’re recruiting and training the next wave of young organizers so we can outdo ourselves in 2025, 2026 and beyond, but we need adults like you to help fund our work, from pizza for our phone bankers to our largest workshops yet.
