Election Integrity continues to be a cornerstone priority for the Republican Party—not just nationally, but right here in Illinois. One of the most impactful ways we can protect and strengthen our election systems is by ensuring that competent, effective County Clerks are elected across our state.
In 2026, County Clerks will be on the ballot throughout Illinois. If your current County Clerk is a Democrat and has not demonstrated the leadership, organization, or commitment this role demands, conservatives must take action. And if your county is in need of new leadership in this position, we encourage you to get involved and speak with your local County Republican Party Chairman.
To support this effort, the Illinois Republican Party's Election Integrity Committee has launched an initiative specifically aimed at identifying and equipping individuals interested in running for County Clerk. These roles are crucial—not only because of their direct responsibility for ensuring fair and secure elections, but also because County Clerks manage a broad range of essential county operations. Their decisions impact everything from public records to local administration and transparency in government.
Your local Republican leadership can provide campaign resources, guidance, and support for those considering a run. If you—or someone you know—has the skills, integrity, and passion to serve, we want to hear from you. We cannot afford to leave these critical positions to chance. Illinois needs the very best people at the helm of our local governments. Let’s take this opportunity to identify, support, and elect strong County Clerk candidates who will protect our values and ensure trust in our elections.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our shared cause. Together, we can make a real difference at the local level—and beyond.
As I continue traveling and volunteering in support of our local Republican organizations, I’m continually inspired by the dedicated Patriots I meet along the way. Together, we are building a stronger, more united Illinois—one county and one precinct at a time.
