As Israeli forces gear up to completely flatten Gaza, vowing to destroy
every standing building and displace 2 million people (again), Donald
Trump will be en route to the Middle East.

One likely agenda item: getting Saudi Arabia to normalize relations with
Israel.

This would be catastrophic for the region. More than ever we need leaders
to stand with Palestinians and use every tool available to hold the
Israeli government to account, not finance Israel's occupation and
genocide through trade and other relations.

Now Arab leaders, especially Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad Bin
Salman, are under immense pressure: bend the knee and capitulate to
Trump’s demands, or stand with their people and the people of the world.

The situation in Gaza is as dire as it gets. No aid has entered the strip
for 68 consecutive days, and UN officials just said the famine in Gaza is
reaching “catastrophic levels” with at least 57 people dying from
starvation.

But Israel’s security cabinet has other plans. On Sunday it announced that
the Gaza Strip will be gradually re-occupied, flattened, and Palestinians
forcibly displaced once again to a “humanitarian area”. We know what
happens to these so-called safe zones because we’ve seen it countless
times before: indiscriminate bombings and attacks on innocent civilians.

Donald Trump went from boasting about striking a peace deal between Israel
and Hamas to essentially handing Netanyahu carte blanche to exterminate
Palestinians. He recently told Time Magazine that he thinks Saudi Arabia
will agree to normalize relations with Israel during his trip to Riyadh.

In the past, Saudi Arabia has stated that normalization isn’t on the table
unless there’s a Palestinian state. But we’ve seen other Arab states
capitulate to Trump before, like when the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain
both agreed to normalization during Trump’s last presidency.

There’s still a chance to stop this, but it will only work if everyone
