From Fort Worth to Houston, conservative extremists just lost big in
Saturday’s local elections. School board candidates running to ban books
and silence LGBTQ+ students were resoundingly defeated – including all
seven GOP-endorsed school board candidates in contested races in Tarrant
County.

These weren’t fluke wins,
John. They were organizing
victories.

Right-wing super PACs have spent years cutting massive checks to buy
control of local government – but we’ve proven something powerful:
organized people can beat big money.
