John —
Republicans know their policies are deeply unpopular with voters.
But instead of doing something about it — like voting to lower costs, expand healthcare access, improve our schools, and more alongside House Democrats — they are going into hiding.
This spineless behavior is not acceptable for members of Congress. They are acting like school-age children, hiding from their responsibilities instead of owning up to their votes.
Speaker Mike Johnson and his Republican caucus are skipping town hall meetings, postponing important committee markup meetings, and voting on nonsense legislation like renaming the Gulf of Mexico.
I have had it with their cowardly behavior. If they are going to strip access to Medicaid, SNAP, Head Start, and more from my constituents, then they need to answer for their actions.
I am hard at work delivering for CT-05 — and I am also working hard to defeat Republicans at the ballot box next year. Chip in to show your support, and together, we will flip the House and get some real work done with Democrats in charge.
