Patriot,
Our country is over $36 trillion in debt.
We have a $2 trillion deficit.
We are not (officially) at war with anyone.
Why would we spend a record-breaking $1 trillion on the military budget?
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) posed this question on X this week. And he's not alone – at least, not at the moment.
Thirty-two House Republicans are demanding that Republican leadership oppose any budget that adds to the budget deficit.
But we've seen this song and dance before.
Republicans who market themselves as fiscal hawks whine and complain about all the terrible things in the budget – funding ObamaCare and Planned Parenthood, restoring funding that DOGE cut for USAID, NPR, and PBS, grants for crazy projects all over the world, etc. . .
<big>And then they vote for it regardless.
The last budget deal was passed by almost every Republican, including those in the “Freedom Caucus.”
As Rep. Massie put it, once again they traded the cow for some magic beans.
They claimed they would find the cuts “next time,” but every time they think they've found a solution, they get stuck and have to start over.
So much wasteful spending – and if Republicans can't get their act together and cut it now, the American people are never going to trust they ever will.
That's why you must tell House Speaker Mike Johnson and Majority Leader Steve Scalise: NO more delays - MAKE REAL CUTS RIGHT NOW!

Patriot, our national debt is so out of control interest payments are now the highest expense in the federal budget. It’s doubled in the last two and a half years.
Because of their financial recklessness, we are going to be paying our taxes to banks and foreign countries in perpetuity.
Your taxes aren’t buying anything but paying interest to banks. It’s highway robbery!
And as the debt continues to skyrocket, interest costs will only continue to grow until we have no money for anything else.
Our nation is driving off a financial cliff, and if Republicans don't hit the brakes – NOW – we're going over.
Tell House leadership this is the last straw: they MUST cut the spending NOW.

Democrats, for their part, are only stepping on the gas as we hurtle to fiscal ruin.
But if Republicans won't do anything different, the American people aren't going to give them another chance.
The price of everything from consumer goods to housing prices to insurance remains much higher than before the pandemic.
Household savings have plummeted as many Americans must dig into their savings and go into debt to cover basic living expenses.
And yet the politicians always find a way to spend more and more regardless of which party is in control.
The federal government is running out of time to cut spending before they trigger a financial meltdown.
Tell House leadership this is the last straw: they MUST MAKE REAL CUTS RIGHT NOW.

The Republicans are giving us the same old song and dance once again. But the reckoning is coming, and they CANNOT kick the can again without being punished at the polls. House leadership MUST rein in the budget NOW.

P.S. It’s a slap in the face to Americans that we’re now paying more on interest to banks and foreign countries than we are on anything else our country needs.
And Democrats and Republicans alike are actively pushing us even harder down this path of demise.
Tell House leadership to MAKE REAL CUTS RIGHT NOW!
