Upcoming Events
Planners of Color Spring Happy Hour [[link removed]]
Thursday, May 15, 6:00pm–8:00pm
Shanklin Hall, 2325 18th St NW, DC [[link removed]]
We’ll be hosting our fifth Planners of Color meet-up on Thursday, May 15, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Shanklin Hall (NOT Franklin Hall), a Black-owned gathering space on 18th Street.
Connect with a diverse community of planners, advocates, and planning-adjacent professionals. If you feel you belong in this space, you do belong in this space, and we welcome you. You also don’t need to be an urban planner to attend. Just share our vision of a Washington region where housing is abundant and affordable, it’s safe and easy to get around without a car, and land use decisions prioritize racial, social, and environmental justice.
We will be sharing the space with the National Black MBA Association, which will also be hosting a happy hour for their members. Register here [[link removed]] .
Capitol Hill Meet-up [[link removed]]
Thursday, May 22, 6:00pm–8:00pm
Maketto, 1351 H St NE, DC [[link removed]]
Join us for drinks and community on H St! We’ll connect with other folks who think that cities should be for people, not for cars, and who want to see more housing, more affordable housing, and the land-use regulations necessary to support the above—plus, hear what GGWash is working on, and what you can do to get involved. Chat about the latest on RFK (see our most recent coverage here). [[link removed]] [[link removed]] Families are welcomed and encouraged to attend. We’ll have some crafts and games on hand for our younger guests. Register here [[link removed]] .
