In April, I visited the Port of Los Angeles — America’s busiest port and a vital economic engine for Southern California.

Here’s a staggering statistic: for every four containers that move through this port, one job is created. That means thousands of families in this region rely on the steady, reliable flow of goods through this port to make ends meet.

Trump’s erratic and dangerous tariff policies are putting all of that at risk.

His trade war threatens to cut shipping through the Port of LA by as much as 40%, devastating our local economy and threatening the livelihoods of workers and their families.

I’m not standing by. I’ve introduced the Stopping a Rogue President on Trade Act, which would:

→ Rescind Trump’s tariffs on Mexico and Canada — two of our closest allies and largest trading partners

→ Reverse harmful “reciprocal” tariffs that are raising costs on American consumers

→ Restore Congress’s authority over trade decisions

This is about protecting jobs, reducing costs for working families, and restoring checks and balances in our government.
