Look, I’m not going to pretend that IL-06 is one of the marquee battleground districts this cycle. It’s not topping every pundit’s list of “races to watch.”
However, I don’t want to give you the impression that this race isn’t competitive, because it absolutely is.

Let’s dig into the numbers, shall we?
The Cook Political Report ranks districts according to their partisan lean, with #1 representing the MOST Democratic district in the nation, and #435 representing the MOST Republican district.
IL-06 is #178, which means 40% of House districts are more Democratic than this one.
As the first Democrat to win IL-06 in nearly 50 years, I know this district isn’t blue by default. It’s blue because we’ve invested time, energy, and resources into keeping it that way.
After last November, MAGA has more cash and confidence than ever. They’re gunning for anyone who stands against Donald Trump’s unhinged agenda.
I’m one of the strongest anti-Trump voices in Washington, and I’ve never been afraid to call out MAGA’s lies. I also recently launched my Tough Conversations Tour, a series of town halls I’m hosting in deep-red districts across Illinois.
I’m exactly the type of outspoken leader Republicans want to push out of Washington, and this is exactly the type of blue-ish district they’ll target.
We need to be prepared for whatever they throw our way.
They’re expecting us to be distracted by bigger, more expensive races, but a robust grassroots movement made up of supporters like you will prove them wrong. Together, we can keep this district blue, take back the House majority, and make sure this is MAGA’s final chapter.
