We need to keep agitating

I hear you loud and clear: the people will not settle for the status quo from this administration and their anti-American agenda.

John, no one can deny it. Folks are fed up and ready to protest Trump’s economic, social, and immigration policies. I saw that as I stood side by side with thousands of PA residents at a May Day rally in Philadelphia last week.

My dear friend, Senator Sanders, brought the fuel, and the thousands in attendance brought the energy as we protest for the stop of the Trump admin’s unconstitutional, unlawful, and horrifying policies.

When I say we need to agitate – this is what I mean. We are agitating and agitating gets shit done. If you want to keep fighting with us, donate today to help us make a difference.

“Brothers and sisters, our job right now, in my view, is twofold.

First, we have got to fight Trump every single day.

Secondly, we need to have a vision as to where our country goes in the future.

And here is the bottom line, and I say that to my Democratic colleagues in Congress. Stop defending the status quo economically.

— Bernie Sanders

This rally, centered around Trump’s abhorrent economic policies, came at a time when the GOP-led House is advancing its budget legislation aimed at cutting $1.5 trillion in critical programming, most notably cutting Medicaid & SNAP benefits for millions of Americans across the country.

People are pissed. Because the GOP-led House is frantically looking for $1.5 trillion in cuts, not for any economic purpose, but because that’s how much they need to fund their tax cuts to the 1%.

That’s right.
Millions will lose resources while billionaires get more money.

Like Bernie said, we cannot and WILL NOT defend this status quo. I’m fighting back in Congress, and I am urging my colleagues across the aisle to do the same. But we need YOU to continue agitating and feeding the fuel. Donate today if you’re ready to fight back.
