Save AmeriCorps and Protect Outdoor Access for Young People
AmeriCorps is a critical program that connects our country's youth to the outdoors by creating jobs in conservation, disaster relief, and the outdoors. However, the Trump administration has slashed AmeriCorps' budget along with other federal funding cuts, putting 85% of its staff on leave and threatening the well-being of young people and their communities.
Millions of organizations, including the Sierra Club's Outdoors Alliance for Kids, rely on AmeriCorps for getting young people outdoors and creating a new generation of environmental stewards. It is also an essential program for equipping young people with the skills, training, and jobs to sustain our country's public lands and outdoor economy. Help reinstate AmeriCorps funding and demand that this critical workforce be rehired.

What Matters More: Our Future or Billionaire Tax Cuts?
Trump and Republicans in Congress are attempting to make drastic cuts to clean energy funding, climate action, public lands protections, and other essential programs we rely on. The worst part? They are doing this so that billionaires and corporate polluters can have bigger tax breaks.
We can't allow them to pass a reckless budget bill that sacrifices our future for billionaire handouts -- send your message to Congress now!

Tell Congress to Protect Funding for Clean School Buses
Children across the nation rely on school buses to get to and from school. The majority of these buses are diesel, which emit toxic air pollution and harm the health of kids and school drivers every day. Congress is currently looking at taking away $2 billion previously allocated for replacing old school buses with cleaner, healthier ones.
Send a message telling them to protect our children and clean air by protecting electric school bus funding.

Federal Funding Cuts Are Silencing the Wild
President Trump's cuts to the federal workforce are jeopardizing efforts to save at-risk species. At the US Fish and Wildlife Service, which is charged with managing threatened and endangered species, the loss of some of the most experienced employees has already created knowledge gaps and disruption at the agency.
Learn more about how the loss of federal conservation spending may spell mass species loss.

This Mom Took On One of New England's Biggest Environmental Crises
Laurene Allen was just a mom who wanted her kids to grow up where they could play outside and access clean drinking water. Then she found out much of her town's water source was contaminated with PFAS, highly toxic chemicals.
Read more about how this discovery led her to grow a movement that showed how powerful communities can be when they band together.
