Dear John,
For me, this year’s National Day of Prayer ceremony in the Rose Garden at The White House was a very humbling experience.
During the ceremony, President Trump signed an executive order creating the Presidential Commission on Religious Freedom.
I am both humbled and excited to report to you that the President has appointed me to serve on the Commission.
To give you a better understanding of the Presidential Commission on Religious Freedom, I recently sat down with Stuart Shepard to discuss the appointment and to let you know what you can expect from those of us serving at the President’s request.

Right now, our country is going through a sea change moment, but so many Americans of faith don’t know or understand the opportunity we have to return religious freedom to what our founding fathers intended.
Thanks to First Liberty’s victories at the Supreme Court for school choice in Maine, for postal carrier Gerald Groff and for Coach Joe Kennedy, we have a chance to close the door on the past 50 years of hostility towards faith.
The Presidential Commission on Religious Freedom is a unique opportunity to educate people of faith, senators, representatives and the President’s Administration on our founding fathers’ true intentions regarding our First Freedom.
This Commission could be a key next step in restoring faith in America.
That’s why I am humbly asking for your prayers as we work together to advance religious freedom for all Americans. Please pray that the Lord’s hand be on the Commission, that He directs and guides our hearings and that He changes the direction of the country through our work.
Grateful for you,
Kelly
