As Oregonians struggle with skyrocketing utility bills, Oregon's largest utilities are raising rates, making profits, and passing unnecessary costs on to us. Our utility bills are paying for things like expensive lawyers, lobbyists, marketing, and industry association fees. That’s millions of dollars of “junk” on our utility bills every year. We can protect our families and our budgets by transitioning to affordable clean energy, making energy efficiency upgrades, and holding large utility companies accountable. OLCV and the Building Resilience coalition are working to pass proposals that would help keep utility bills manageable for Oregonians. Oregonians need healthy, affordable homes that run on clean energy. We will get there by putting people over profit to ensure clean, affordable energy for all.
