Last month, Donald Trump signed an executive order that takes a sledgehammer to our right to vote. Now, his Yes Men in Congress are trying to finish the job.

The so-called “SAVE Act,” a bill masked as a way to shore up election security, is actually one that would make it harder for many Americans to vote AND it will make it harder for those working on the frontlines of democracy to do their job. Unfortunately, it recently passed the House and is headed to a critical vote in the U.S. Senate.

That’s why Issue One has been taking action:

• We’ve called on you to tell your representatives in Congress to put a stop to this bill and highlight the negative impacts it will bring to everyday Americans.
• We sent a letter to Congress signed by 60 bipartisan election officials from across the country, highlighting the devastating impact this bill would have on these hardworking civil servants.
• We’ve been connecting election officials to members of Congress so that they’re able to hear directly from those on the frontlines of democracy how this bill would negatively impact them and the communities they serve.

John, in “normal” times, Issue One would throw everything we’ve got at stopping this outrageous bill.
