Dear John,
Gun safety in North Carolina is under direct attack. Last week, the NC House approved HB1931 which would let virtually anyone with written permission from a private school administrator and a concealed carry permit (or no permit at all, if exempt) carry a handgun around children in private schools. Obtaining a concealed carry permit requires only 8 hours of training compared to 8682 hours required of law enforcement officers, and without the preparation to make life-or-death decisions in a crisis.
We’re fighting back with everything we have—but we need immediate support to respond swiftly and forcefully. Your gift will allow us to galvanize more voters to contact their lawmakers to oppose these dangerous bills.

Every hour matters. Every gift counts. The stakes couldn’t be higher as North Carolina lawmakers challenge the few protections we have left. Your support keeps our staff on the ground at the General Assembly and across North Carolina through the NCGV Action Fund.
Please, stand with us now when it matters most. Together against gun violence,
Becky Ceartas
