This April, we’ve been on a mission to ignite conservative passion across the state, spotlighting the boldest victories passed during the session. From kicking off a high-energy statewide education tour to rallying volunteers at GOP conventions, our team is all in—educating diverse communities, registering voters, and mobilizing voters who feel left out and left behind. Don't just take our word for it, check out this article in the AJC by former State Representative Melvin Everson about our recent town hall in Dekalb County: 2025 LEGISLATIVE SESSION At the beginning of April, the Georgia General Assembly adjourned Sine Die, and Governor Kemp has been busy signing key legislation to make Georgia the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Below are some important bills that have already been signed by Governor Kemp: SIGNED BY GOVERNOR KEMP: Taxes & Government Spending HB 111: Sweeping income tax cut for Georgia families; returning more than $800 million to Georgia taxpayers. HB 112: Returns $250-$500 to every qualifying Georgia taxpayer. HB 223: Implements robust protections to exempt Hurricane Helene relief from taxation for Georgians while introducing a timber tax credit to support South Georgia’s timber industry in recovering from the storm’s devastating effects. HB 92: Streamlines the homestead exemption by allowing governing authorities to rescind opt-outs through 2029 and defines eligible homesteads as primary residences with up to five acres. Education & Student Safety HB 268: Implements new safety protocols and tougher penalties to mitigate threats against school children. HB 340: Bans the use of personal cellphones, smartwatches, and tablets for K-8 grades, ensuring students have distraction-free learning environments. HB 192: Introduces middle and high schoolers to Georgia's high-demand professions, empowering students to excel in post-secondary education or vocational training. SB 93: Bans the use of the outdated Three-Cueing Systems Model, a flawed teaching method that relies on meaning, structure, syntax, and visual cues, ensuring students receive more effective reading instruction grounded in evidence-based practices. Veterans & Military Support HB 266: Exempts full-time active duty military income from the state income tax. HB 182: Prohibits life insurance companies from denying claims made by families of Georgia veterans. HB 454: Establishes the Vince Dooley Battlefield Trust Fund and Program, offering matching grants to organizations dedicated to acquiring and preserving historic battlefield properties through strategic investments. Family Values SB 1: Prevents biological males from competing in women's sports. SB 36: Restores religious freedom protections from government-mandated shutdowns. HB 428: Protects individual rights to IVF.
