A lot of things began making sense to Tania after her daughter, Valeria, wa=
s diagnosed with autism=E2=80=94and not just about Valeria=E2=80=99s behavi=
or, but also her own. That=E2=80=99s why Tania was just as relieved as she =
was surprised to learn that she, too, was on the spectrum.
While the realization provided clarity, it also meant that Tania would have=
to navigate the autism journey for both herself and her daughter. Fortunat=
ely, she learned everything she needed to know from the Caregiver Skills Tr=
aining (CST) program, a course we developed in collaboration with the World=
Health Organization.

Eileen and her son Jude are no strangers to games. Diagnosed with autism at=
age 5, Jude struggled with physical tasks like sports. So instead, he grav=
itated towards activities like math, trading cards, chess, and video games.
But one day, eager for her son to move more and develop coordination, Eilee=
n decided to try something different. She got the idea to put a small baske=
tball and hoop inside her house, hoping that with easy access, Jude would d=
evelop an interest.
=E2=80=9CI've learned that we can't force him to do anything=E2=80=94it has=
to come from him,=E2=80=9D said Eileen. =E2=80=9CSetting up a basketball h=
oop inside the house was a subtle suggestion. It worked!=E2=80=9D Jude has =
since developed a love of basketball and is now exploring other sports too.=
Give now to ensure 2X support for moms like Eileen. >> [[link removed]

Georgina knows more than a thing or two about autism, and not just because =
her son, Xavier, is on the spectrum. She=E2=80=99s a researcher focused on =
early detection and intervention. Her research, combined with her experienc=
e raising Xavier, led her to the realization that a gap existed in autism s=
upport for Hispanic and Latino communities.
That=E2=80=99s why she became involved in the CST program. Georgina pioneer=
ed the program for families in Mexico and, just this year, established a Sp=
anish-speaking CST program in Philadelphia to help even more families like =
hers.
=E2=80=9CFor me, this work has helped me come full circle in the sense that=
I navigated with much difficulty the path to a diagnosis with my child,=E2=
=80=9D Georgina said, =E2=80=9CNow I am helping others access a diagnosis.=

A lot of things began making sense to Tania after her daughter, Valeria, was diagnosed with autism—and not just about Valeria’s behavior, but also her own. That’s why Tania was just as relieved as she was surprised to learn that she, too, was on the spectrum.
While the realization provided clarity, it also meant that Tania would have to navigate the autism journey for both herself and her daughter. Fortunately, she learned everything she needed to know from the Caregiver Skills Training (CST) program, a course we developed in collaboration with the World Health Organization.
“CST doesn’t put your child in a box—it shows you that there are many ways to help your child succeed,” Tania said, “It’s empowering for parents too, because it gives you the tools to handle tough behaviors and difficult situations.” DOUBLE your impact for moms like Tania with a 2X-MATCHED gift. >> [[link removed]]

Eileen and her son Jude are no strangers to games. Diagnosed with autism at age 5, Jude struggled with physical tasks like sports. So instead, he gravitated towards activities like math, trading cards, chess, and video games.
But one day, eager for her son to move more and develop coordination, Eileen decided to try something different. She got the idea to put a small basketball and hoop inside her house, hoping that with easy access, Jude would develop an interest.
“I've learned that we can't force him to do anything—it has to come from him,” said Eileen. “Setting up a basketball hoop inside the house was a subtle suggestion. It worked!” Jude has since developed a love of basketball and is now exploring other sports too. Give now to ensure 2X support for moms like Eileen. >> [[link removed]]

Georgina knows more than a thing or two about autism, and not just because her son, Xavier, is on the spectrum. She’s a researcher focused on early detection and intervention. Her research, combined with her experience raising Xavier, led her to the realization that a gap existed in autism support for Hispanic and Latino communities.
That’s why she became involved in the CST program. Georgina pioneered the program for families in Mexico and, just this year, established a Spanish-speaking CST program in Philadelphia to help even more families like hers.
“For me, this work has helped me come full circle in the sense that I navigated with much difficulty the path to a diagnosis with my child,” Georgina said, “Now I am helping others access a diagnosis.” Georgina, Eileen, and Tania are just three examples of why we ❤️ moms! [[link removed]]
