Trump begging to be loved & accepted by a rich & famous elite that ‘s despised the gauche, self-loathing, talentless trash
Like Most Conservatives—Almost Every One an Artistic Failure—Trump Hates Hollywood for REJECTING HIM
The stories are legion of Donald Trump living the successful life of inherited wealth and business in Queens, yet gazing across the East River at Manhattan like a scorned lover. Because even though the putz inherited hundreds of millions of dollars, it. wasn’t enough. Nope, Jabba the Rut craved fame and adulation as RFK Jr. does a whale’s head with which to cruise around town with the top down.
It is this obsession with those he knows have more class, talent, intelligence, wit, etc., that led Trump to pick a new target in his quest to be the biggest asshole President in history by a country 10K miles: Hollywood.
This pathology isn’t unusual on the Right. It’s the same grievance animating the entire MAGA base (and its elected officials [ [link removed] ]), who shuffle around in PJs thinking “I should’ve been a contender,” whether in manufacturing, banking, etc. But, alas, they didn’t make it, because those damn immigrants, DEIs & trans athletes robbed ‘em of their birthright! No, not the GOP they keep reelecting [ [link removed] ] with the policies of transferring their jobs outta town faster than Trump can pay off a porn star.
So let’s call this MAGA: “artistic” (I use the term very loosely) division. Loopy, talentless dicksaws who desperately wanted to be big on the big screen, but failed (Andrew Breitbart, Dana Loesch, Sarah Palin, it is endless). Trump’s of this ilk, waking up with a woody each day to wet dreams and Siren calls of “Trump,” “Trump,”… Yet, once awake, he realizes only folks chanting that name tend to look like this:
Matt Damon spilled the beans when he shared that Trump required films on his properties to provide him with a cameo in the film. Most producers said yes, and just planned to leave him and his weave on the cutting room floor in post-production. For some reason Home Alone 2 was too lazy or forgot, which the filmmaker, Chris Columbus, very much regrets and wants to fix [ [link removed] ]. (He’s called it a “curse”).
So Trump got that little extra fame-suckle he requires to walk around each day without Hindenburg-ing. That craving for love daddy never gave him. Though, no matrer the family situation, this craving for fame and recognition for their talents is not unusual among authoritarians. You may recall that Hitler first aspired to be a world-famous painter. Sadly he sucked at it, and the entire damn world is in many ways still paying the price.
So Trump’s going after Hollywood with tariffs [ [link removed] ], because clearly killing exporters, farms, manufacturers, small businesses, stock markets, cattle ranches & more isn’t enough destruction for the weakest man alive. He apparently woke up one day and decided the problem with American cinema is that it’s just doing too well, so why not fuck that up too?
Yeah, the guy who danced with chickens [ [link removed] ] and gave us “Celebrity Apprentice” thinks he’s some kind cultural gatekeeper—a bloated, bone-spurred Roger Ebert full of blarney. It’s why he made himself Chair of the Board of Trustees of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, a position he obviously earned through a keen eye for the creative arts. You know, like Melania’s…modeling. Yeah, that [ [link removed] ].
In his deluded mind meanderings, foreign films are stealing our box office mojo and it’s time to slap a tax on subtitles. This isn't an economic strategy—it’s nationalist cosplay and personal revenge covered in popcorn grease—extra butter. The man’s confused trade policy with a Rotten Tomatoes scorecard and wants to fix “woke Hollywood” by charging other countries a 100% tariff for their films, as if that’ll revive Sound of Freedom 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Meanwhile, while Trump’s busy launching a trade war against Bong Joon-ho and Greta Gerwig, the real-world impact is artists getting screwed, indie theaters shutting down, and yet another slice of American culture becoming collateral damage in his tantrum-fueled crusade against “people who make him feel dumb, weak and like the loser he’s always been.”
Spoiler alert: that’s everyone [ [link removed] ]. Has he seen the fucking polls [ [link removed] ]? This isn’t about protecting American jobs—it’s about punishing an industry that didn’t cast him as the action hero in his own biopic, because lard-ass isn’t in right now when it comes to leading men. Instead, Hollywood always saw him for what he is: a tax-dodging, union-busting, blubbery-bodied, thin-skinned, wannabe strongman who’d get booed off set at a fourth-grade film festival.
