When she joined the Urban Seniors Jobs Program in 2019, she impressed everyone with her work ethic, growth, and willingness to ask questions. She was on track for unsubsidized employment—until the COVID-19 pandemic forced her training site to close. 

Instead of giving up, Linda dove into the Louisville Urban League’s Senior Tech program, completing over 200 hours of digital literacy training. But life threw another devastating hardship her way: the sudden passing of her husband. Even through profound loss, Linda persevered. With the help of coaching sessions and continued training with our team, she finally landed a role at VisionWorks as an administrative assistant, helping others each day.
