Just a quick moment of your time. We have some good news, and some bad.

The good news: In the 100 days since Trump has taken office, the opposition to his far-right presidency has gained a lot of momentum.

Protesters have taken to the streets, voters are flooding Congressional town halls, and Trump’s approval ratings are sinking. Importantly for campaigns like ours, we saw a huge influx of fundraising as people realized that we need to build a movement in defense of democracy.

The bad news: In April, things changed. Donations slowed down, and we saw less energy from the grassroots across the board. Right now our fundraising is projecting way behind where we wanted to be for the quarter. That’s really tough timing for us.

A lot of the races that will define the midterm elections are coming into shape right now, with new candidates jumping in and the far-right’s billionaire donors setting their strategy for MAGA victory. We have to start getting involved in these crucial battlegrounds before we get left in the dust.

So that leaves us with two choices: either we need A LOT more donations between now and the end of the deadline, or we will need to make detrimental budget cuts.

We don’t want to have to do that.

So please: Chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can afford today. We have to start building our war chest so we can take on the Republicans who refuse to hold Trump accountable, and win pro-democracy majorities in Congress next year.
