Statewide, Wyo. – The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) – Air Quality Division (AQD) is joining the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and agencies nationwide to celebrate Air Quality Awareness Week, May 5–9, 2025.
This year’s theme is “Stay Air Aware,” encouraging Wyoming residents to use available resources to stay informed about air quality conditions around the Cowboy State and help preserve our State’s clean air.
Members of the public can view near real-time air quality conditions and cameras at air quality monitoring sites around Wyoming by visiting [link removed]. WyVisNet contains an abundance of resources and information about Wyoming’s air quality. Another resource during wildfire season is [link removed] [ [link removed] ], which provides a national map of ongoing fire and smoke impacts.
Wyomingites can also follow WDEQ on social media throughout the week as we share information on the daily topics and about the importance of clean air in Wyoming. WDEQ will highlight the following topics:
* Monday, May 5 – Wildland Fires and Smoke
* Tuesday, May 6 – Asthma and Your Health ("World Asthma Day")
* Wednesday, May 7 – Indoor Air Quality
* Thursday, May 8 – Air, Animals and Plants
* Friday, May 9 – Make Your Impact
“Maintaining our clean air is essential to the Wyoming way of life,” said AQD Administrator Nancy Vehr. “We invite everyone to take small steps that can make a big impact. And, to stay informed of air quality conditions in your area, be sure to check WyVisNet.com.”
Members of the public can also visit WDEQ’s Air Quality Awareness Week website at [link removed] to view informational public service announcement videos about air quality that were developed by the AQD during previous Air Quality Awareness Week campaigns.
