Hi Everyone!
Thank you all for your resistance efforts this past week! Despite the heavy rain, we had about 200 people show up and speak out against corporate greed and corruption at our May Day Strong event. We are grateful to each and every one of you! We thank the volunteers, musicians, speakers, and others who helped make this event happen. We thank all the coalition groups who planned and organized the event, including 50501 KY, Peaceful Bluegrass Resistance, KY 120 United-AFT, Gathering for Democracy, Progress Kentucky, Capital Indivisible, KY State AFL-CIO, NALC, and CWA. We also thank Kenzington Stalwart for creating the amazing video included in this email. You all rock!

NATIONAL: RUSH HOUR PROTESTÂ - MAY 8TH Join Peaceful Bluegrass Resistance for a rush hour protest from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the intersection of Nicholasville Road and Reynolds Road.Â

NATIONAL: LET'S WELCOME ANDY BARR - MAY 9TH Join Peaceful Bluegrass Resistance as they welcome Andy Barr when he arrives for the Bourbon County Republicans Lincoln Day Dinner from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 9th at Millersburg City Hall, 1113 Main St, Millerburg, KY. There is free parking on both sides of Main St. and City Hall. Decorate your car with signs/flags/banners! Protesters will line Main Street with their decorated cars and then gather at City Hall, across the street from Mustard Seed Hill (location of the dinner). This is a peaceful protest. ACLU-KY EVENTÂ - MAY 18TH Join ACLU-KY for their event "How is the ACLU fighting back and fighting forward?"Â at the Lyric Theatre (300 E Third St, Lexington, KY) on Sunday, May 18th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

NATIONAL: ASK YOUR SENATORS TO VOTE NO ON THE SAVE ACT! Call Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul and ask them to vote NO on the SAVE Act (H.R. 22 and S. 128). A few weeks ago, the SAVE Act (H.R. 22) passed the House, and now it is going before the Senate.
