The Lincoln Project

Friend,

It’s time to play everybody’s least favorite game! (Again.)

What is Donald Trump going to destroy so his rich friends can get tax benefits?

It’s crazy, sometimes we think that he’s only in office to give tax cuts to billionaires, but then we remember that he’s only in office to give tax cuts to billionaires AND to avoid prison.

Anyway, with this goal in mind, Trump released his budget plan. And as always, it’s destructive, chaotic, and the complete opposite of what nearly every American wants.

This time, he wants to cut $163 billion from the budget for 2026. (Anyone else notice they’re spending WAY more this year, though?) Where is that $163 billion going to come from?

Well, we’ll start with the big one. Economists are saying this is impossible to achieve without cutting something from Medicare. So, that’s interesting to say the least. Especially considering that Trump is on year **NINE** of not having any sort of healthcare plan. This could get bad.

Otherwise, he’s cutting the National Science Foundation’s funding by 56%, because who needs science when RFK Jr. is your Health and Human Services Secretary.

Trump’s also slashing public housing assistance, because his favorite way to help the rich is by screwing the poor. There, we just saved you from having to read The Art of the Deal.

If people knew how badly Trump is screwing them, they wouldn’t even think to vote for a MAGA candidate again. That’s why we want your help putting this story on blast. Spread the word, grow the movement, stop MAGA. That’s the plan. And we’re sticking to it.

Chip in so we can achieve our goal >>
