Imagine this, John: A fossil fuel corporation files a permit to drill near a protected wetland. Instead of undergoing a full environmental review process that the law requires — typically lasting one to two years — they get rubber-stamped in as little as two weeks.

No public input. No accountability.

That’s exactly what the Trump administration just set into motion. Under the cover of an “energy emergency,” they’re gutting the rules to fast-track coal, oil, gas, and mining projects on public lands across the country. They’ve even cut safeguards for endangered species to make it easier to break ground on these dirty energy projects.

They’re calling it energy security. But let’s be clear: This is about profit. It’s about billionaires and oil lobbyists cashing in while protected lands are destroyed and vital ecosystems are thrown into chaos — all so corporate polluters can drill and dig with no questions asked.
