Dear John,
What a start to the month of May for First Liberty!
This month, religious freedom is already being impacted in historic ways.
But since May is Military Appreciation Month, I want to start with a special message for our brave service members.
I am so very thankful for the willingness of our service members to defend our Country, our Constitution and our freedom. It is only because of the daily sacrifices made by those in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Space Force and Coast Guard that you and I are free to live out our faith.
At First Liberty, it is our great honor to partner with people like you in the fight to make sure that every member of the military can live and serve according to their deeply held religious beliefs.
And I promise that First Liberty will remain ever ready to put a stop to any unconstitutional attack on the faith of our heroes in the military. Just as we did for the Navy SEALs, Chaplain Trubey and the service members listed on the Bladensburg Cross.
They Sacrificed for Our Right to Live Out Our Faith We Will Never Stop Fighting for Theirs
As I wrote last week, the Trump Administration has taken a number of positive actions for religious freedom.
In addition to establishing The White House Office of Faith and the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias, the Administration has created the Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty.
Over the course of the next year, the Commission will evaluate the current threats to religious liberty and recommend strategies to enhance protections for generations to come.
I am deeply humbled and honored to report to you that I have been selected to serve on the Commission, and I can tell you that we will do everything we can to restore our First Freedom for all Americans.
Fighting for Faith, Delivering Freedom Preserving Religious Freedom for Generations to Come
Many of our recent cases will be crossing some major milestones in May. For a complete report, watch this critical update from First Liberty’s Chief Legal Officer Jeff Mateer.

As we fight together for clients like Pastor Chris Avell at Dad’s Place and Tarin Swain in Ventura, California, I ask first and foremost for you to pray for them, their fights for faith and our attorneys as they prepare these cases.
And if you’re able, I ask that you also support them financially. Your gift today guarantees that they will receive the best defense without ever receiving a bill.
You make it possible for people of faith like Tarin and Pastor Chris to take these bold stands for religious freedom. Without your financial support, they would just be average Americans that got runover by their local governments.
The truth is, we can’t fight and win without you. Thank you for standing boldly for the future of faith.
Yes! I’ll make a gift today >>
Gratefully,
Kelly
