Labor Day holiday expected to break air travel record

Trade association Airlines for America (A4A) announced it expects a record 17.5 million passengers to travel on U.S. airlines worldwide during the week-long Labor Day travel period. “With fares at historic lows and customer satisfaction at historic highs, travelers continue to take to the skies in record numbers,” A4A Vice President John Heimlich said in a statement.

California ABC launches Amazon investigation

The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) will open an investigation of Amazon after a story by Wine-Searcher revealed Amazon may not be in compliance with the conditions of its liquor license in Los Angeles. Under California law, Amazon would be required to operate a brick-and-mortar store in order to make liquor deliveries, but Wine-Searcher alleges there is no operational store.

Bell’s Brewery is about to release a low-calorie, light version of their Two Hearted IPA

Bell's Two Hearted IPA has been a pillar of the craft beer world for a long time and has rarely seen any changes to its iconic single-hop recipe, originally released in 1997, but the brewery will issue a light, low-calorie version of the beer, Bell's announced. It's called Light Hearted and will be a year-round release available anywhere Bell's is distributed.
