Trump wants us to feel hopeless and powerless.

But we, the people, are the real power in this country and at this
critical moment we represent its last best hope. What we do, or what we
fail to do, will determine our future, our fortune, our fate. We cannot be
found wanting.

The truth is, we have the power to overcome these challenges. We know this
because we’ve overcome them before against much greater odds. Overcoming
is what we’re made of, it’s who we are, it’s how we have become the
greatest country the world has ever known.

They know this in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where Doug Jones and I just joined
over 1,500 people to fight for our country right now, when it matters and
where it matters.

How’d we decide on Alabama? When University of Alabama students told me
that Donald Trump had invited himself to speak at commencement, trying to
steal their big day, and asked if I’d stand with them in solidarity and
protest, I had to say yes.

I want to stay on the road, whether it’s hosting town halls in Texas or
showing up across the country to stand with those ready to fight for
America. No place too “red” to be written off; nowhere too “blue” to be
taken for granted. This country is in crisis and we must show up
everywhere for everyone.
