The Lincoln Project

Friend,

The genius behind Signalgate has fallen. Well, one of them, anyway.

Mike Waltz is being “re-assigned” (seriously demoted) from National Security Advisor to U.N. Ambassador.

You know, the job Trump thought Elise Stefanik was too good for.

While this is unbelievably hilarious and a definite victory for our side, they still spared the guy who is more at fault than anybody here: Pete Hegseth.

Don’t get us wrong, Mike Waltz is a moron. He made that crazy group chat. He added a reporter to the group and discussed classified war plans. He actually called out the media for making it all up and got busted. Truth be told, this guy probably doesn’t even deserve to bring Trump his morning Big Mac.

But don’t forget who’s in charge of the whole thing here. The guy who should've said “Hey, maybe we shouldn’t be discussing top secret info in a hackable group chat,” but instead made other chats so he could discuss war plans with his wife.

America’s national security has never been more vulnerable than it is now. Mike Waltz taking off helps, but we’re not letting up until the drunken Fox News host gets the boot. He’s still the Secretary of Defense, and he’s still causing chaos.

America deserves better. We’re moving in the right direction, but we have to keep pushing. Chip in to help keep the spotlight on Hegseth >>
