[1]NNU - Medicare for All!

In case you missed it, Medicare for All was officially reintroduced in the U.S.
House (H.R. 3069) and Senate (S. 1506) this past Tuesday!

Dingell with a crowd of NNU nurses behind them.

We celebrated the moment in a big way on Capitol Hill, joined by bill
sponsors Sen. Bernie Sanders, Rep. Pramila Jayapal, Rep. Debbie Dingell,
National Nurses United Executive Director Bonnie Castillo, RN, over 300
nurses from around the country, and other allies.

Like Bonnie said that day, “Our immoral system profits from suffering,”
and as Bernie told the crowd, we cannot simply defend the status quo of
this deeply broken health care system any longer. Now is the time to
rethink health care in America and truly treat it as a guaranteed human
right.

You’re probably wondering, what’s next?

Now, we need to reach out to our members of Congress and urge them to
cosponsor H.R. 3069, the Medicare for All Act of 2025, which would create
a universal, single-payer health care system that provides care to
everyone in the United States at no out-of-pocket cost.

Your representative is already a cosponsor! Call them today at
202-858-1717 to thank them for supporting this legislation and keeping up
the fight. Feel free to use or adapt our script:

Hi, my name is , and I'm
calling from 19125. I'm calling to thank [name of representative]
for cosponsoring H.R. 3069, the Medicare for All Act of 2025. Health care
is a human right that must be guaranteed for all – and Medicare for All is
the only policy solution that will achieve guaranteed health care for all
people. Their leadership as an original cosponsor is deeply appreciated.
Thank you.

Thanks for taking action to help bring our vision of health care justice
to reality.

In solidarity,

Nurses’ Campaign to Win Medicare for All
