This May, the ACLU will be unveiling the Freedom to Be quilt in Washington, D.C. – a powerful and living testament to trans resilience and joy. This monument will stand as a declaration against the rising anti-trans policies and rhetoric we’ve witnessed around the country.

The Freedom to Be Monument ensures that trans voices, stories, and existence are honored and seen. The event includes a rally featuring speakers, special guests, and community leaders, live music and DJ sets, interactive activations, Know Your Rights materials, and other surprises.

Time: The installation will be on view from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., with a rally and celebration from 12:30 – 2 p.m.
