2025 Travel Fair
Last Saturday, my district office hosted a travel fair to help folks apply for or renew their passport, enroll in TSA PreCheck, and interview for Global Entry. I know these processes are often unnecessarily challenging. I am glad my office was able to provide this vital service to our community.
2025 Congressional Art Competition
Thank you to the 128 high school students that participated in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. I was truly inspired by the talent in our community. The winners will be announced soon—I am proud of you all.

Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities 30th Annual Capitol Forum
Earlier this week, I was honored to attend the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities’ (HACU) reception.
My mom, Rosie Castro, worked at HACU when it first started in the ‘80s. Since then, HACU has supported students and helped them achieve their dreams. Thank you to President Flores for your strong leadership.
Meeting with Mexico Ambassador to the U.S.
Thank you to Mexican Ambassador Moctezuma for meeting with me and sharing ideas on how to deepen our collaboration during this critical time.
Legislative Updates
House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) Hearing on the State Department
The Administration is working to dismantle agencies, like USAID and the Millennium Challenge Corporation, that were established by law. These actions do not make us safer, stronger, or more prosperous.
Watch a clip of the hearing here.
Resolution of Inquiry (ROI)
On Tuesday, I introduced a Resolution of Inquiry (ROI) to direct the Trump Administration to provide Congress with all records relating to the removal of individuals in the United States to El Salvador. The Administration has provided no legal and legitimate justification for the deportation, without due process, of individuals to El Salvador’s most brutal gulags. We will not stop until the Administration is held accountable and Mr. Abrego Garcia and others are brought home.
