# Asian American LGBTQ employees face persistent discrimination and harassment
at work

Our
new study ([link removed])
finds that employment discrimination against Asian American LGBTQ employees is persistent and widespread. More than four in ten (44%) Asian American LGBTQ workers have experienced discrimination or harassment at work due to their LGBTQ status at some point in their lives.

The majority of Asian American LGBTQ adults in the workforce are under age 35, bisexual, and have at least a bachelor's degree. Over half of them were not out to their current supervisors, and nearly half reported engaging in covering behaviors at their current jobs to avoid harassment or discrimination.

# Accepting applications for the Gleason/Kettel Summer Law Fellowship

The Williams Institute awards the
Gleason/Kettel Summer Law Fellowship ([link removed])
to a law student or recent law school graduate who will receive a stipend of up to $6,000 to work in the field of sexual orientation and gender identity law and public policy.

The Gleason/Kettel Summer Law Fellowship is committed to inspiring law students to pursue careers in sexual orientation and gender identity law and public policy and to identifying the next generation of leaders committed to promoting rights and equity for the LGBT community. Through the fellowship, students gain experience and insight into the field and provide much-needed support to various organizations and scholars. Fellows must spend at least ten weeks at their placements.
