This week, Speaker MAGA Matt Hall and Leader Aric Nesbitt tried to take credit for bringing new jobs to Michigan after they voted no — TWICE — on funding the Selfridge National Guard Base.

Michigan Democrats put in the real work to bring these high-quality jobs to our state, a job made harder by Michigan Republicans like Matt Hall and Aric Nesbitt who tried to block funding two times.

Matt Hall and Aric Nesbitt both voted against millions in funding for the base in 2024 and again in 2025.

But this week, they tried to take credit for the work Michigan Democrats did to make this project a reality.

We’re not going to let them rewrite history and lie to Michigan voters. And we’re not going to let them rewrite Michigan’s future either. We need to fire Matt Hall by flipping the state house in 2026 and block Aric Nesbitt from a promotion by protecting our majority in the state senate.
