Another new low, John

Donald Trump recently announced he is personally putting a stop to the effort to change the name of military bases that are named after traitorous Confederate Generals.

This is wrong.

It is an anti-American insult to the millions of Black Americans who put their lives on the line for us, and our flag, to be forced to serve at installations named for the men who tried to keep many of their ancestors in bondage.  

The names of generals who sought to dissolve our Union must be thrown into the wastebasket of history.

That’s why, today, The Lincoln Project is calling on all Republican Senators to rebuke Trump and work to remove the names of racist Confederate Generals from our honored military installations.
