What happened to George Floyd was a horrific act of police brutality, and I join the millions of Americans who seek swift justice in this case.

Our work will not end until justice, fairness, and equality become a reality in every part of our great state.

We will seize on this moment in history to bridge the divide that exists so we can keep Texas the greatest state in America.

VISITING GEORGE FLOYD'S FAMILY IN HOUSTON

On Monday I spent time with George Floyd's family. They are wonderful, God-loving people.

They will be the center of helping America bridge our racial divide and secure equality, justice, and fairness for everyone in America. Together, we must ensure what happened in Minnesota never happens in Texas.

God bless them and God bless Texas.

EXPANDING TESTING IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE LONE STAR STATE

[link removed]

The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) is coordinating with local and public health officials and emergency management offices in cities across the state to expand testing in communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.

As the State of Texas continues to mitigate the spread of this virus, we are committed to ensuring every Texan has access to COVID-19 testing no matter where they live. We must address the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on underserved and minority communities and ensure that anyone who needs a test can have one.

Unemployment claims filed in Bexar County have been cut in half and similar trends can be seen across Texas.

Texans are getting back to work. This is great news for the Lone Star State.

BOOM: THE LATEST U.S. JOBS REPORT IS STRONG

The month of May saw the biggest jobs increase ever of 2.5 million as the economy starts to recover from coronavirus.

Last month's gain was the biggest one-month jobs surge in U.S. history since at least 1939.

I had the opportunity to attend the Genesys 300- the first professional sporting event in Texas since the start of COVID-19.

Quite the kickoff event for professional sports coming back. A Texas-sized thank you to IndyCar and Texas Motor Speedway for hosting such an incredible event for fans to enjoy from across the nation.

A much needed win for the American people as we continue to combat COVID-19.

And congratulations to five-time champion and four-time winner in No Limits, Texas, Scott Dixon for winning last weekend.
