Hey folks, it’s John.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we fell short of our big April end-of-month fundraising goal.
It’s not great timing. The Senate is back in session this week, and if the GOP sees our low numbers, they'll think we don't have what it takes to stop their plan to gut Social Security and hand out even *more* tax cuts to their rich buddies. 🙄
I say this all the time cuz it's true: Social Security is *sacred*. YOU paid into it. YOU earned it. And I’ll always fight to protect it.
But the truth is, I need your help to protect your Social Security and other programs for working families. I don't have tech bros bankrolling this campaign. It’s just us – regular folks, giving a few bucks at a time to keep this grassroots team rolling.
So I’ve gotta ask: Can you toss in $5 (or whatever you can afford) to help us bounce back? Let’s stand together and tell these rich dudes: Do NOT f*ck with working families. >>
