On this May Day, I'm letting President Trump know this: Peeling back the rights of workers to organize and bargain has nothing to do with "efficiency" or "national security" – it's union busting!

President Trump recently issued an unconstitutional executive order that would effectively ban all public sector unions and leave them with no way to exercise their collective bargaining rights. Last week, a federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration's anti-union efforts.

The fight is far from over, though. Critical workers from flight attendants and VA nurses to postal workers and air traffic controllers could still be stripped of their rights and have their union contracts ripped up.

That's because the rights and protections that come from a strong union get in the way of Trump and Musk steamrolling over federal agencies and doing whatever they want to them.

But this isn't my first time defending union rights – I know that when they pull stunts like this, it's because they're scared of how much power workers hold.
