Climate change is a crisis rooted in exploitation – of land, resources, and labor. The extractive systems that are destroying the environment are the same ones that treat workers as disposable. We must dismantle these systems and replace them with ones built on care, equity, and justice – both for workers and for the Earth.
A truly just transition away from fossil fuels must be shaped by and for working people. This can only happen through building a strong, united, working class movement. From workers demanding the conditions they need to carry out their organization’s mission, to communities fighting to keep polluting industries out of their neighborhoods, the frontlines of labor and environmental justice are often one and the same. Now more than ever, the climate and labor movements must build power together to create the change we need for our survival and well-being.
In solidarity for climate and worker justice,
The Breach Team
