Senate Democrats just shielded violent, illegal immigrant felons in the Sanctuary State.

Our Safety Before Sanctuary Act (SB 554) would’ve required law enforcement to cooperate with ICE when it comes to illegal immigrants convicted of serious and violent crimes like rape, child molestation, armed robbery, DUIs, human trafficking, and drug trafficking.

That’s it. Just the worst offenders.

But instead of keeping our communities safe, Democrats on the Public Safety Committee said no and killed our bill — siding with radical activists and illegal immigrant felons instead of protecting innocent Californians.

In the hearing, a radical, pro-criminal Democrat representing Oakland and Emeryville, two of the most dangerous cities in California, actually compared 10 million immigrants to the violent, illegal immigrant felons our bill targets.
