Today is International Workers Day, also known as May Day.
Building a clean energy revolution has the potential to address multiple crises: It can tackle climate change and toxic pollution, fight racial and economic inequality, and create millions of good, green jobs at the same time.
Celebrate May Day by taking action to protect green jobs.

Dear Friend,
Trump ran on the promise to help working families. It was clear this was a lie, but the amount of havoc he has wreaked in just a few short months has been even worse than most of us expected.
The administration has laid off thousands of individuals across government programs, parks, and agencies. They've lowered wages and reduced protections for federal employees. They've fired two-thirds of the staff at the agency created to ensure safe and healthy working conditions for all Americans. [1]
The administration is also threatening to cancel green energy projects that would provide crucial green jobs in rural communities. Already, 62 thousand clean energy jobs have been lost due to Trump's actions and almost 400 thousand are at risk.
Again and again, this administration has put workers' health, safety, and security at risk for the profit of an elite few.
Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the other billionaires and corporate polluters who bought access to the administration think our democracy, our planet, and our future belong to them. We won't sit back and take it.
In the first few weeks of Trump taking office, calls to Congress increased by 3,900 percent. We've seen significantly more protests nationwide than even during Trump's first term. People are fighting back, and we need to keep up the momentum. [2,3]
On May Day and every day, we are powerful together -- together as workers, together as citizens, together as families, together as neighbors.
The transition to a clean energy future is already underway. All over the country, and especially in red and purple states, clean energy is creating thousands of good, green jobs. We all must continue to stand with workers to ensure that transition is just, equitable, and prioritizes people over billionaires.
Despite the Trump administration, we can build an economy that works for all of us. In fact, doing so might be our best hope of overcoming the power of the megacorporations attempting to suck workers and the planet dry.
Join us to fight for our future. Add your voice to protect good-paying green jobs nationwide.
