Happy AAPI Heritage Month! This May, we’re shining a spotlight on the trailblazing AAPI LGBTQ+ leaders who have broken barriers and paved the way for a more inclusive democracy. But make no mistake, there’s still so much history left to make.

Today, just 55 out AAPI LGBTQ+ officials serve across the entire country. That number should be so much higher. And we’re working every day to change that.

The first step? Recognizing and celebrating the leaders making change right now. These inspiring public servants have shattered rainbow ceilings and boldly stepped into power on behalf of our community. Explore their stories on the Out for America map!

At Victory Institute, we’re building the future. In 2025, we’ll train a new, diverse generation of LGBTQ+ changemakers - including AAPI leaders - through programs like our Victory Empowerment Fellowship, Victory Congressional Internship, and Candidate & Campaign Trainings.
