Dear Friend,
The stakes couldn’t be higher. Billionaires are hoarding wealth, gutting jobs, and exploiting workers at every turn. Tomorrow, on May Day, workers across the country are uniting to fight back, and Progressive Maryland will stand with them. Will you join us in Washington, D.C., to demand justice, fair treatment, and protections for all?
Here’s the plan:
-
12pm: CASA Rally at Franklin Park (1332 I St NW)
- March at 12:30pm from Franklin Park to Lafayette Square Park
-
4:30pm: Meet in front of Walgreens at 12th & F St (1155 F St NW)
-
Walk at 4:45pm to May Day Solidarity Rally at Freedom Plaza from 5-8pm.
📍 Please note that for the big rally at Freedom Plaza, we have a planned meeting location in front of the Walgreens at 12th & F St so we can walk the couple of blocks together and stick together as a group. The easiest way to get to our meetup location is by taking the metro to the Metro Center stop.
As always, wear your Progressive Maryland shirt if you have one and bring a sign if you can to show your support! We will not have extra shirts available tomorrow. Don’t forget a water bottle, hat/sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. - it will be hot out!
This is an opportunity to join us in person with your voice, your values, and your commitment to workers’ rights.
See you in the streets,
The Progressive Maryland Team
