After a pretty insane first hundred days of Trump’s presidency, we’re coming up on our end of month deadline tonight.

It might seem like everything is spinning out of control right now, but the truth continues to be the truth. So, here’s a reality check:

Due process is real, and everyone in the United States is entitled to it.

The Supreme Court is the highest court in the land, and whether you agree or not, they make the final decision on whether something is constitutional or not.

Blanket, across-the-board tariffs are bad policy — they’ll raise prices on American families, and they’re even worse when you do it alone and don’t coordinate on a united front with your allies.

And, for that matter, the United States is at its best when we work with our allies — democracies that share our values, not oligarchies and autocracies that repress civil rights and restrict the power of the people.

That’s the truth.

That’s what Mark believes. That’s what most Americans (still) believe. And when we’re on the other side of Trump, that’s what we’re going to get back to.

But, until then, we have to continue speaking out. We have to take action when we can, where we can. We have to defend our communities and our values. And we’ve got to support the leaders who fight for us against Trump.
