There’s no doubt—these are challenging days. While the news can feel overwhelming, what gives me hope every day is the way people in our community and across the country continue to show up: volunteering, organizing, staying engaged, and standing up for what’s right.
We’re in a critical time. While House Republicans have chosen to look the other way—or worse, enable the dysfunction—we know that leadership means doing the work, even when it's hard. Especially when it’s hard.
That’s why Team Lizzie is organizing year-round. We’re keeping our office open, we’re talking to neighbors across TX-07, and we’re making sure people understand what’s at stake—not just for Houston, but for the future of our democracy.
