Craft Brew Alliance to divest of Kona Brewing

Brewbound reports that Craft Brew Alliance announced plans to divest of its Kona Brewing operations in Hawaii in an effort to gain regulatory approval for its planned merger with Anheuser-Busch InBev. The rights to the Kona brand in the other 49 states and international markets would go to A-B in the deal.

Dixie Brewing Company expands to Florida panhandle

Louisiana-based Dixie Brewing Company, LLC, recently announced a partnership with The Lewis Bear Company, a Florida beer distributor, to distribute Dixie’s portfolio of beers. The addition of Florida marks the seventh state of distribution for Dixie which is now available in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, Arkansas, Maine and parts of Florida.

Grubhub to merge with Just Eat in $7.3 billion deal

After negotiations broke down with Uber due to antitrust concerns, Grubhub announced it will merge with Just Eat Takeaway, a third-party delivery provider based in Europe. The deal is estimated at $7.3 billion and the combined company will become the world’s largest online food delivery company outside China, with service in more than 25 countries.

Liquor stores face challenges as states reopen after coronavirus lockdowns
