Stop Food Waste

Dear John,

Nearly 40% of food in the US goes uneaten—and much of it is wasted at home. This isn't just about groceries that never get used. Every piece of food wasted represents lost resources—water used for irrigation, fuel burned during transport, and land dedicated to growing crops that never nourished anyone. Even more concerning, food waste accounts for approximately 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

The good news? Simple changes in the kitchen can make a real difference for our planet.

Stop Food Waste Day is the perfect opportunity to commit to simple changes in your kitchen that can make a real difference for our planet ([link removed]).

Sign the pledge today, and commit to implementing at least one sustainable practice in your kitchen, such as:

Freezing vegetables, fruits, and other perishables before they spoil

Dedicating one meal per week to creative leftover dishes

Transforming imperfect produce into smoothies, breads, or stocks

Creating a visible "use it up" shelf in your refrigerator

Shopping with a list to avoid overbuying

I'll take the pledge ► ([link removed])

Together, we can reduce waste, protect natural resources, and build a more sustainable future for the wildlife and wild places we love—right at home.

Thanks in advance for helping us tackle food waste today,

Sara
