Hi Friends,
It’s been 100 days since President Trump was inaugurated. It’s been 100 days of disaster for America.
He’s crushing our economy. His ridiculous trade war is already causing prices to rise, and it will only get worse. I’ve met with many Vermont small business owners and farmers who are worried about being forced to close if this continues.
The stock market is also reeling from his trade war. The Dow Jones has seen historic drops and experts keep raising the chances of a recession hitting our country.
Rather than investing in more jobs, Trump is taking them away. He’s fired tens of thousands of federal workers who do essential work for our country. These are folks who keep us safe and healthy, but that doesn’t matter to him.
He’s actively breaking the law and harming our democracy. His administration has ignored court orders, broken laws, he’s even suggesting that he’ll run for President in 2028 in violation of the Constitution.
And as he’s doing all of this, he’s leading congressional Republicans toward passing a bill that will cut health care for millions of people around the country so he can give massive tax cuts to billionaires like himself.
President Trump has done so much damage in his first 100 days in office. I’ll keep working with my colleagues to fight back against actions he takes that harm Vermonters.
