The Neighborhood Leader Program: In 2017, the DPO adopted this innovative program to increase grassroots outreach and voter turnout efforts statewide. In 2024 voters contacted through Neighborhood Leaders had a turnout rate of 93.5%, which was 18% higher than Oregon’s turnout. Now, we have 3,549 Neighborhood Leaders in 28 counties, who are ready to mobilize Democrats, get out the vote in 2025 and 2026! 

The Local Elections Project: Since 2013 the DPO has built this powerful program to elect Democrats to local offices and grow the Democratic bench for now and years to come. We’ve run extensive regional and online training to help recruit progressive candidates and give them the skills to run successful campaigns.  Since this program began we’ve trained over 737 campaign activists in 29 counties, supported 764 campaigns, and helped elect 471 Democrats to office. 

The Election Protection Program: Founded in 2006, the Election Protection Program ensures that all voters can vote and all votes are counted! In 2024, 32 counties participated and 509 volunteer election observers helped cover over 99% of Oregon's registered voters.
